We’ve always been interested in using technology to check up on our plants. We’ve tried a few different technologies and various IOT partners.
We always been frustrated with this kind of setup because many of the IOT guys don’t necessarily understand refrigeration, and even when they do, their offering is something you can “literally do anything with”.
So, you get charged a ton of money for a thing, and you still have to go and do some serious work before it is actually useful. And then pay them a nominal monthly fee for all the work you have done yourself.
So, we decided to do it ourselves. We have a plug and play, ready to mount system. You install it on your cold or freezer room, and it just works. And if you need something fancy added, you just let us know, no problem. We like fancy as much as we like Cool.
Our standard configuration monitors the box temperature, the power supply and the door. Our fancy configuration can check amps on the compressors, it can monitor vibration levels, it can measure the energy use etc. And if that still doesn’t give you the warm and fuzzy, please give us a call and we’ll put together something really Cool.
